Ingredients
  

For the Panini:

  • 4 slices ciabatta or sourdough bread
  • 6 slices turkey lunch meat
  • 4 slices Swiss or provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise optional
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard optional
  • 2 tomato slices optional
  • Fresh basil leaves optional

Instructions
 

1️⃣ Prepare the Bread:

  • Spread butter or olive oil on the outer sides of the bread slices.
  • On the inside, spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard for added flavor.

2️⃣ Layer the Ingredients:

  • Place 1 slice of cheese on one slice of bread.
  • Add 3 slices of turkey lunch meat, tomato slices (if using), and fresh basil.
  • Top with another slice of cheese and cover with the second bread slice.

3️⃣ Grill the Panini:

  • Heat a panini press or skillet over medium heat.
  • Place the sandwich in the panini press or in the skillet with a heavy object (like another pan) on top.
  • Cook for 3–4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.

4️⃣ Serve & Enjoy:

  • Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve immediately.
  • Pairs perfectly with a bowl of soup or a side salad.
