  • 1 can 15 oz diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 4 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth for a vegetarian option
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

  • Wash and chop the turnip greens (if using fresh). Rinse well to remove dirt.
  • Slice the smoked sausage and dice the onions and garlic.

Step 2: Sauté the Aromatics

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add onions and garlic, cooking until soft and fragrant (about 3 minutes).
  • Stir in the sliced sausage and cook until slightly browned.
