- 100 g milk chocolate optional for a sweeter version
Authentic Arabian Flavors:
- 2 tbsp camel milk powder or coconut milk powder
- 1 tsp saffron strands soaked in warm water for 5 minutes
- 1 tbsp rose water
- 2 tbsp date syrup
Add-ins & Toppings:
-
- ¼ cup finely chopped Medjool dates
- ¼ cup chopped pistachios
- ¼ cup slivered almonds
- ½ tsp ground cardamom
- Edible gold leaf optional
- Dried rose petals optional
Step 1: Preparing the Ingredients
Chop the dark and milk chocolate into small pieces for easier melting.
Finely chop the dates, pistachios, and almonds.
Soak saffron in warm water for 5 minutes to enhance its flavor.
Step 2: Melting the Chocolate
Use a double boiler or microwave to gently melt the chocolate:
Double Boiler Method: Place the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water. Stir until melted and smooth.
Microwave Method: Heat in short intervals (15-20 seconds) while stirring between each interval until fully melted.
Stir in the camel milk powder, date syrup, saffron infusion, rose water, and ground cardamom until well combined.
Step 3: Adding Flavors and Molding
Mix the chopped dates, pistachios, and almonds into the melted chocolate.
Pour the chocolate mixture into silicone molds or a lined baking tray.
Tap the molds gently to remove air bubbles and spread evenly.
Step 4: Decorating and Setting
Sprinkle with edible gold leaf, dried rose petals, and additional nuts if desired.
Allow the chocolate bars to set at room temperature for 10 minutes, then refrigerate for 30 minutes to fully harden.
Once set, remove the chocolate bars from the molds and store them in an airtight container.
